Technical Co-founder: Maritime Technology
An equity-based founding role for a senior technical leader with deep maritime, offshore, and industrial systems experience.
MimeSeas develops software and integrated systems for maritime and offshore operations, with a focus on digital twins, industrial telemetry, metrology, simulation, and operational decision support.
We are looking for a technical co-founder who can combine simulation expertise, operational technology experience, industrial systems thinking, and strong software architecture judgement to turn complex operating environments into reliable, deployable products.
Please note: candidates must have hands-on industry experience to be considered. The expected profile is 5+ years of relevant technical experience; candidates with fewer years may be considered only where a relevant PhD is combined with applied professional experience.
Relevant experience may include
- Real-time simulation
- SCADA / PLC environments
- Industrial telemetry and sensor fusion
- Digital twins
- Hardware-in-the-loop or operator-in-the-loop systems
- Survey, metrology, or measurement systems
- Vessel, equipment, or field operations
- Industrial system commissioning
- Maritime robotics
- Maritime, offshore construction, dredging, or subsea activities
You do not need to match every item. You should, however, recognise these environments and understand the standards required for field deployment.
The ideal candidate has worked close to physical operations, understands the difference between a prototype and a production-ready industrial system, and can help shape the technical foundation of MimeSeas from product architecture through real-world delivery.
Experience in maritime or offshore construction is a strong advantage.
