About MimeSeas

Integrated maritime and offshore technology: software, hardware, integration, automation, survey, metrology, simulation, digital twins, IoT data acquisition, and AI/ML.

About MimeSeas

MimeSeas is a maritime and offshore technology company.

We build complete systems for vessels, offshore equipment, survey work, metrology, simulation, digital twins, IoT data acquisition, AI/ML decision support, and automation. That means software, hardware, sensors, controls, installation, commissioning, and support where the equipment is real and the environment is difficult.

MimeSeas was started by an engineer with hands-on experience in the maritime and offshore industry. After working on metrology systems, automation projects, digital twins, Industrial IoT data acquisition, simulation software, and operator interfaces, one thing became clear: many teams still use tools that are separate, old, or hard to connect, even for important operations.

MimeSeas was created to build better tools for that world.

Our Vision

We believe the maritime and offshore world is ready for better software.

Ships, offshore equipment, survey systems, subsea tools, and industrial machines have become highly advanced, but the software around them is often still fragmented, outdated, or difficult to use. The people doing the work deserve tools that match the complexity and importance of the job.

Our vision is to help build a new generation of maritime and offshore technology: connected, practical, and made for real operations.

We want MimeSeas to become a place where automation, metrology, simulation, digital twins, IoT data acquisition, hardware, field integration, and AI/ML come together naturally. Not as separate tools forced to work together, but as parts of one clear engineering workflow.

We are starting with the problems we know from the field. Over time, we want to help crews, engineers, operators, and project teams test more before going offshore, understand more during operations, and Learn more after every project.

The goal is simple but ambitious: better tools for people doing difficult work at sea.

What We Work On

Technology for maritime, offshore, subsea, and industrial projects.

Project Areas

Offshore wind, dredging, cable lay, vessel automation, marine construction, subsea infrastructure, autonomous vessels, robotics, and industrial monitoring.

The Common Thread

Complex equipment, real-time data, and people who need clear information to make good decisions.

How We Think

We like systems that are clear, testable, and maintainable.

Before software is used in the field, it should be tested properly. Before an operator has to rely on a screen, that screen should be understandable. Before a control system is trusted, its behaviour should be checked against realistic situations.

We do not believe every project needs a huge platform. Sometimes the right answer is a focused tool that solves one problem well. Other times, it is a larger system that connects several parts of an operation.

Field Experience Matters

Software for offshore and maritime work has to deal with real conditions: motion, weather, noise, limited time, mixed equipment, old systems, and pressure during operations.

That is why we care about things like clear operator screens, useful alarms, reliable logging, replay, audit trails, sensor quality, remote support, and simple commissioning.

These details are not extras. They are often the difference between software that looks good in a demo and software that is useful on a vessel or site.

Our Values

Proven Engineering

Our knowhow has grown organically from solving real problems in the field. What we build is shaped by the challenges, constraints, and painpoints of actual operations, not by what looks good on paper.

Meraki

The Greek term for leaving a piece of yourself in whatever you do: working with soul, not just skill. We bring that care to every integration, delivering dependable systems that are well made and worthy of the people who rely on them at sea.

Craftsmanship First

We care about the details that are invisible when things go right but obvious when they go wrong. Clear operator screens, useful alarms, reliable logging, honest measurements. These are not extras, they are the work.

Safety by Design

Safety is built into how we design, not added at the end. We use simulation, automation, digital twins, and remote tools to reduce unnecessary risk for people in the field before anyone sets foot on a vessel or site.

Filotimo

The Greek term for honour and responsibility toward others, a felt obligation to do right by the people you serve. We build systems that can be understood, updated, and handed over by anyone on the team, long after the original work is done.

Love for the Sea

The sea is the environment we work in, not just the market we serve. We build technology that helps people understand the ocean better, operate more cleanly, and leave less behind.

How We Work with Others

MimeSeas can help with early ideas, system design, hardware specification, software development, automation, simulation, digital twins, IoT data acquisition, survey and metrology tooling, integration, testing, commissioning, support, and AI/ML.

We can work with vessel owners, offshore contractors, survey teams, automation teams, system integrators, and equipment builders.

We are still at the beginning of our journey. We are also looking for co-founders, investors, partners, and early customers who understand the problems in this industry and want to help build better tools for it.

Why MimeSeas

MimeSeas exists because maritime and offshore work deserves software that is easier to connect, easier to understand, and easier to trust.

We bring together decade-long field experience, hardware integration, automation, metrology, simulation, digital twins, Industrial IoT, software engineering, and AI/ML.

The goal is simple: build useful technology that works in real operations.
